OUR INGREDIENTS
Filled to the brim with skin-loving ingredients, vitamins, antioxidants and hydrating oils, our formula enriches the skin and imparts a tan that looks and feels natural. It also boosts skin quality with anti-ageing, hydrating and skin firming ingredients – leaving skin smoother and more replenished than any other tan can.
DELISH TANS uses certified natural DHA derived from beetroot and rapa seed, and is 100% FREE from petrochemicals, parabens, sulphates and other common nasties.
COCONUT OIL
Contains a naturally high nutrient level of vitamins A, B, C and E as well as antioxidants that soften, revitalise and rejuvenate dry, damaged skin. Its small molecular size also makes it easily and readily absorbed into the skin.
AVOCADO OIL
Avocado oil may help to enrich protein and vitamin content with its high levels of oil-soluble vitamins. Well-suited for dry skin types, Avocado oil has great moisturising properties and can leave the skin feeling smooth and nourished. Said to penetrate deeply into the skin, it can also promote skin repair with its abundance of lecithin and plant sterols.
ALOE VERA
Aloe vera extract is renowned for its moisturising effect and is said to deeply penetrate the skin, delivering hydration directly to the tissue. Aloe also works to improve skin tone and colour by increasing the blood flow to the areas of application. It provides a soothing and calming effect and can reduce skin redness and irritation.
KAKADU PLUM
A native plant to Northern Australia the kakadu plum contains the highest known levels of Vitamin C concentration of any single natural food source and has been used for thousands of years as a traditional antiseptic and skin healing remedy by native Australians. Vitamin C is essential for the formation of proline, an amino acid required to make collagen. It is also used to improve skin’s natural appearance, reduce irritation of dry skin and prevent future damage.
CHAMOMILE
Commonly used to relieve inflammatory skin conditions and calm sensitive skin. It is rich in B vitamins and can be used to soothe, moisturise and inhibit the growth of bacteria.
KIWI SEED OIL
Kiwi Seed Oil is one of the richest sources of essential fatty acids, containing over 60% omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid. It is known to be highly nourishing and can help to restore elasticity to aged and damaged skin. Also rich in phytonutrients, minerals and vitamins C and E, Kiwi Seed Oil assists with moisture retention.
VITAMIN E
Vitamin E is known as one of the most healing and effective anti-oxidants in the skincare and haircare world today. It protects the skin from everyday environmental exposure and damage due to lifestyle factors. Vitamin E is an essential fatty acid which helps form the membranes that protect the skin cells, preventing the formation of dry and scaly skin.
ARGAN OIL
Organic Argan Oil is high in proteins, which may help to improve skin tightening and protect skin’s elasticity. This nourishing oil provides intense hydration as it is said to restore the natural barrier of the skin, allowing for greater moisture retention. Assists in skin regeneration and prevention of premature ageing due to external aggressors, and it can also help reduce skin irritation and inflammation.
MACADAMIA OIL
Widely considered the best of the nut oils for its fantastic regenerative effects and hydrating properties. It is gently absorbed by the skin and can provide a long lasting soft and silky feel. Macadamia oil is rich in mono-unsaturated fatty acids (palmitoleic acid, omega-3 and omega-6) which may help to delay premature ageing. It has also been successfully used to assist in restoring scars and sun damage.
GREEN TEA
A potent antioxidant rich in polyphenols. Antioxidants help in alleviating dry skin by bringing the skin’s natural moisture content back into balance.
GRAPE SEED EXTRACT
Grape seed extract contains powerful antioxidants (oligomeric proanthocyanidins - OPC). The OPCs in grape seed extract contain 20 times the antioxidant power of Vitamin E and 50 times the antioxidant power of Vitamin C, and work to protect and enhance the skin’s appearance.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEE & POLICY
We are dedicated to giving you the best flawless tan and the ultimate sunless experience every time but at the same time, you need to take care of it while it is setting/developing before you shower. If you're not satisfied with your tan, call or text us within 24 hours of purchase. Tans must be fixed within that time.
-
Guarantees will be void if proper pre-tan and after care instructions are not met. They are the following (along with the Pre-tan Prep):
-
Showering, or engaging in any activity that will cause you to perspire before the recommended minimum 8 hour tanning development process for our regular formula or before 1 hour for the Rapid Tan formula.
-
Swimming in a chlorinated pool without wearing sunscreen or going in a hot tub. (chlorine acts like a bleach and makes a spray tan blotchy)
-
Use of lotions (unless advised by spray tan artist), perfumes, oils, deodorants, or make up prior to the spray tan application that are not recommended by our professional spray tan artists.
-
Not rinsing off thoroughly or exfoliating properly as instructed.
-
Use of lotions, liquid make up, or touching your tan which will cause blotches and marks after your sunless application and before your first shower.
PRE/POST TAN CARE
BEFORE YOUR TAN
-
Exfoliate skin the day before or day of tan, so that your body will be able to absorb the tan more efficiently.
-
We recommend shaving or removing excess hair one day prior to your Spray Tan. For Men with chest/leg/beard, the spray tan will not reach those areas as easily - this won't be a problem if you are not planning on shaving because you won't be able to see the less tanned portions of skin.
-
Prior to your spray tan, your body should not have any barriers such as lotions, deodorants, perfumes, creams or anything that would create a barrier between the body and the spray tan.
IMMEDIATELY POST TAN
-
Recommended to wear dark and loose-fitting clothes after tan. (The solution does not stain, but could rub off on clothing and be seen on lighter clothes)
-
DO NOT put lotion on the skin during the spray tan development time.
-
Avoid sweating or water exposure during the spray tan development time.
FIRST POST-TAN SHOWER / YOUR FIRST SHOWER
-
During your first shower you will see the brown tint wash away in the shower water. This was the cosmetic guide utilized to spray tan you. Your sunless tan will continue to develop for 24-48 hours.
-
(Avoid DOVE or opaque milky looking products – no bar soap)
-
Wash with a mild sponge or washcloth. Pat skin dry. Scrubbing or abrasion on the skin surface will remove some of your fresh tan.
MAINTAINING YOUR TAN
Regular moisturization (we recommend and carry Sunescape products) will help prolong the wear of your tan.
We recommend applying moisturizer products to damp skin (fresh from the shower) to help lock in the moisture from your shower.
TAN RESULTS
Many things may affect the final color and how a tan develops and wears on you, with your individual skin chemistry. Some of those include the amount of melanin in the skin, skin tone, oiliness, age, lifestyle habits, diet, hormonal fluctuations…etc. Over time, we will understand your skin chemistry and customize for the perfect results if needed.
TANNING WHILE PREGNANT…. IS IT SAFE?
Wanting to achieve that golden glow whilst your pregnant can be a lot harder taking into consideration what’s best for your bub and won’t cause any harm. First and foremost, you shouldn’t tan by sun baking or in a tanning bed as that increases chances of cancer and melanoma. But what about a spray or self-tan?
Firstly, we love spray tans because there super quick and easy! However, one concern with spray tanning is DHA. The chemical that makes you tanned is called DHA (dihydroxyacetone) which causes a chemical reaction with the amino acids in the top layer or your skin resulting in a glow. The concern with spray tans is to do with the fumes that can be inhaled by mum and their unknown effect on bub. However, here at Sunescape we use a natural form of DHA and the alcohol in our original formula is not toxic like other spray tans therefore is safe! If you’re unsure, it’s always best to double-check with your doctor and we recommend covering your mouth, nose and eyes when applying to prevent inhaling the products.
Secondly, self-tanning is your at-home option! It is typically only the top layer of the skin that’s affected by DHA, and shouldn't have any harmful effects while pregnant as you are not breathing it in. Sunescape’s Self-Tanning Mousse contains hydrating and moisturising ingredients to nourish your skin including:
-
Coconut oil - Coconut Oil is loved for it's believed ability to soften the skin.
-
Kiwi seed oil - Kiwi Seed Oil is one of the richest sources of essential fatty acids
-
Green Tea - A potent antioxidant rich in polyphenols. Antioxidants help in alleviating dry
-
Avocado Oil - Avocado Oil may help to enrich protein and vitamin content
-
Aloe Vera - Aloe vera extract is renowned for its moisturising effect
-
Macadamia Seed Oil – Macadamia Seed oil nourishes the skin leaving it feeling soft and silky and can help to regenerate damage from scarring or the sun
Another great option is a gradual tan or if you are wanting a luminous glow for just the day or night, opt for our Instant Wash Off Mousse(which is DHA Free!)
We also recommend doing a spot test before applying self-tan as hormone levels can fluctuate throughout pregnancy. Additionally, do not apply to the breast area if breastfeeding.
And just remember the tanning solution does not contain any SPF sun protection, so ensure that an approved SPF is worn prior to sun exposure!

Select the question you would like to add media to 4. When editing your answer click on the camera, video, or GIF icon 5. Add media from your library.
-
Will my spray tan stain my clothes? No, the bronzers are made using the highest grade FD&C; colours available, which helps prevent colour coming off onto clothing and sheets during the development process. We recommend loose fitting clothing is worn whilst your tan is developing straight after.
-
How long will my spray tan last?Delish Tans uses the best quality ingredients and should last anywhere from 4 to 10 days depending on skin type and condition. Before your tan, ensure you exfoliate to remove dry, dead skin cells and moisturise morning and night after your spray tan has fully developed to extend the life of your tan.
-
How do I edit or remove the “FAQ” title? You can edit the title from the Settings tab in the app. If you don’t want to display the title, simply disable the Title under “Info to Display”.
-
Will my spray tan wash off?Your Tanning Boutique tan will deliver gorgeous, natural looking colour. When first applied you will see the bronzer which gives you instant, temporary colour while your spray tan is developing underneath. It is the bronzers that you’ll see rinsing off when you take your first shower. DHA is clear, your tan will continue to develop for up to 8 – 14 hours.
-
Can I swim in pools?Swimming in chlorinated pools may cause your tan to wear off quickly. When leaving the pool or ocean after a swim, have a quick fresh water rinse off if you can and dry yourself down by patting your body not rubbing it with your towel. This will help maintain your spray tan.
-
Are there any harmful ingredients in the products that you use?Dermatologists will enthusiastically agree that tanning with DHA formulation is much safer than tanning for prolonged hours in the sun. Skin allergies are not common however, we do recommend that you conduct a patch test before your first spray tan, especially if you have sensitive skin.
-
Should I spray tan my face?Yes, our spray tans are designed for the entire body, including the face. We do a lighter coat on the face to keep it looking lovely and natural. As your face is more exposed to the elements, your tan will often fade earlier on your face. We sell bronzer free, facial tanner in salon which you can apply four days after your spray tan.
-
Is it ok to get a spray tan during pregnancy? There are no tests showing that spray tanning during pregnancy is harmful. The ingredient in the tanning solution that gives you your tan is DHA and this is made from sugar cane, and has no known problems. This is your decision if in doubt we recommend you consult with your Doctor. We will also supply you with a face mask so that no spray tan is inhaled during the process.
-
Can I breastfeed and get a spray tan?If breastfeeding, there are a couple of options in terms of covering your nipples. You can leave your bra on or we will provide nipple coverings or barrier cream so that your nipples are tan free when it comes time to breast feed again. Our rapid tans are perfect for breastfeeding mothers with shorter time constraints.
-
When is the best time to wax? Before or after a spray tan?Waxing is recommended at least 24 hours prior to having your spray tan to ensure the pores of your skin are closed. If the pores of your skin remain open, bronzer can become trapped in the pores creating a spotty effect.
-
Why don't I have any colour after my rapid tan?A rapid tan means you can rinse off your bronzer after a couple of hours and go about your normal routine. Once your development time has expired you need to take a quick 30 second rinse in the shower. Do not use any soaps, scrubs or product as your tan is still developing underneath. If you do use product it can negatively impact on the end result. Depending on the tanning solution you have chosen, colour will start to appear in as little as two hours and will be fully developed between 8 – to 12 hours.
-
Will medication affect my tan? Some medication can affect hormonal changes and the bodies pH levels which can change the outcome of your tan. For example, you may find that your legs don't take on the spray tan as much as the rest of your body.
-
I'm currently undergoing IPL/laser hair removal, when is it safe to get a spray tan?It is ok to tan 24 hours AFTER but NOT BEFORE as the IPL will tattoo the colour of the tan into your skin. All tan should be removed before your next laser treatment.
-
I'm wearing a moisturiser - will it affect my spray tan? Some moisturisers act as a barrier against your spray tan. We suggest using our pre tan prep spray to remove oil, make up and excess moisturiser before your spray tan as it can negatively impact on the outcome of your tan. This also applies to deodorant. Make sure you come to your appointment with nothing on your skin at all for the best results.
-
I use my own self tanner - can I get a spray tan over the top?It is best to wait until you have exfoliated off the old colour first for best results. If you don't, you run the risk of the two tans overdeveloping and this is when you can turn orange.
-
I haven't exfoliated. Will this affect my tan?Exfoliation is an important part of the pre-tan process. By removing the dead skin cells to leave a clean, smooth surface you create the best possible conditions for your spray tan. If you do not exfoliate it can result in a shorter life or a patchy tan.
-
I know a spray tan is better than a tanning bed. But is it safe? The solution has been approved for external use by the FDA; however, you should avoid getting it in your eyes, mouth or nose. Your attendant should apply the solution carefully to your face. While the rest of your body is being sprayed, hold your breath and close your eyes.
-
How long will my tan last? Most spray tans last roughly 7 to 10 days, though certain factors can extend or shorten that period.
-
Am I protected from the sun?No. Spray tan solution doesn't have any kind of sunblock in it. If you are going out, put on sunblock.
-
Is there anything I should do to prepare for my appointment?Exfoliate and shave the day before (or at least 8 hours before). This will get rid of any dead skin and provide a more even skin surface for the solution.
-
What shouldn't I use on my skin before a treatment?Avoid scented lotions, oils, and anything that could sink into your skin and make your new tan uneven.
-
What should I wear to my appointment?Wear loose clothing in dark colors, preferably something that you don't care about, since it will get stained (especially if your solution has bronzer in it). The stain may wash out, but it's not guaranteed. Your bra should also be the loose variety (no sports bras), and you may even want to leave it off after your treatment.
-
When can I shower afterwards?Wait at least 5 hours (8 if you want to be safe) before showering. It's crucial to avoid any swimming or sweating, not to apply any products or moisturize, and not to exfoliate before this first shower. All of these things can make your spray tan uneven or streaky.
-
Is there anything I shouldn't use on my skin after treatment?Avoid scented lotions, perfumes, astringents, and cleaning solutions with acid or peroxide. Anything harsh or chemical will wear away your tan more quickly.
-
Is there anything I should use on my skin after my first shower?Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Natural, fragrance-free lotions are best. This will ensure that your skin remains healthy and hydrated, and that your spray tan lasts longer.
-
What else can I do to help my spray tan last as long as possible? While your spray tan is new, you'll want to avoid chlorinated water, as this can make the color fade faster. In addition, cut the amount of shaving you do down to a minimum, as this works as an exfoliant and will also make your tan fade. Once your tan has started fading naturally, you can resume most of your normal skincare regimen.
